Noon Gun Brewery and their newly opened Tap Room is located at Capricorn Business Park in Muizenberg, Cape Town and has been producing brews since 2015. Recently they gained international recognition by winning a number of awards.
These impressive awards include numerous Golds, a Double Gold and a Silver at the World Beer Awards, European Beer Awards and Aurora International Taste Challenge. They were also voted the top brewery in the Western Cape in 2019 and 2020.
A few years ago this dynamic brewery began experimenting with gin and tonic mixers too. It’s no surprise that their delicious spirit coolers won a number of awards of their own including the Ginnic Original G&T Mixer which won Best Mixer Award and their Ginnic Rose which won Gold at the World Spirit Mixer Awards in 2020.
Newly Opened Tap Room at Noon Gun Brewery
The Noon Gun Brewery Tap Room only opened recently, as the original opening date was delayed due to covid.
Capricorn Business Park is designed to be environmentally sustainable and is situated in a mini nature reserve with a vlei running through the park. The tap room and brewery are built in a state of the art warehouse and offers a lovely view over the vlei with Muizenberg Beach’s sea breeze washing over the water.
The tap room itself features eclectic industrial, pub and steampunk décor on a mezzanine overlooking the brewery. Visitors can observe the brewer in the Brauhaus as well as see and hear a real brewery at work. Guests are able to witness the brewery in production and experience the happy sounds and delicious aromas of a brewery in action.
The tap room doesn’t just serve beer; they also have some really incredible coffee, tasty snacks and light meals and of course a variety of sweet treats.
If you are not familiar with Noon Gun’s brews then sidle up to the bar and order a tasting that includes a shot of each of the delicious brews and some light snacks to cleanse the palate. If your partner prefers gin to beer well then you’re both in luck because there is a Ginnic G&T tasting too!
